Dr. Vanessa London

Dr. Vanessa London is a board certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and then completed a Master's degree in physiologic science at UCLA. She went to medical school at Case Western Reserve University where she was class president and received numerous awards including induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. She pursued her dermatology training at USC, where she served as Chief Resident. She is a member of the San Diego Dermatologic Surgery Society, and serves on faculty at UCSD, where she enjoys teaching residents fundamentals of surgery.

Throughout her career, Dr. London has excelled on an academic level. She has won many prestigious awards, including several top place honors for oral presentations at national conferences, multiple teaching awards, and recognition for her research. She is honored to have been a peer reviewer for the Journal of Hospital Medicine. She enjoys community service and helping the underserved - she participates in an annual free skin cancer screening program and she has served as a dermatologist for Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders) where she had the incredible experience of treating HIV positive patients in a dermatology clinic in rural Myanmar.

Above all, Dr. London enjoys helping her patients with conditions that impact their quality of life such as severe acne, age spots, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, and blistering conditions. She strives to not only help heal, but to comfort and educate, and therefore empower her patients. Dr. London is highly trained in surgical procedures including lesion biopsies, surgical repair of acne scars, excision of skin cancers, and excimer laser for psoriasis and vitiligo. She is also skilled at numerous cosmetic procedures, which include chemical peels, sclerotherapy for spider veins, IPL (intense pulsed light), microneedling and radiofrequency skin tightening, fractional CO2 resurfacing, laser hair removal, and the Clear Toe laser for toenail fungus. Dr. London is passionate about dermatology and loves her patients. She enjoys getting to know them and truly providing the best care possible.

Dr. London is married to Dr. Nikolas London, who is a retinal surgeon in the area. They have three young boys, Max, Jack, and Cole, who constantly entertain them and keep them on their toes. An NCAA Division I volleyball player in college, Dr. London enjoys exercising of any kind. Currently, the twenty minutes of free time she is afforded each week go to a quick jog around her neighborhood.
