The Diolite 532 laser is used to treat selected vascular and pigmented lesions of the skin. Telangiectasias (broken blood vessels), angiomas, lentigines (“liver spots”) and keratoses can all be diminished using the laser. There is minimal downtime after treatment. After vascular lesions are treated, there are a few hours of redness, which resolves spontaneously. After pigmented lesions are treated, they turn darker and form a superficial crust that falls off naturally within a week. Multiple treatments may be required, and are usually spaced about a month apart.
Fractionated CO2 laser treatment represents a major breakthrough in skin resurfacing and tightening. Our new Tetra CO2 laser offers deep and superficial skin tightening and treating both acne and surgical scars with mild discomfort and minimal downtime. If you prefer limited smoothing, evening skin tone and rejuvenation with even less downtime, Tetra’s new CoolPeel treatment is for you.
They work by using dermal optical thermolysis (DOT therapy) to stimulate and revitalize your skin’s collagen production and natural healing processes. In contrast, traditional CO2 lasers are ablative - meaning they remove the skin’s surface layer. They can be painful and require weeks of downtime. Tetra’s CO2 laser treatments have proven extremely effective in treating fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, lip lines, crow’s feet, brown spots, hyperpigmentation, acne scars, skin tone and texture.

Photofacial IPL/BBL: We use the Sciton BBL (BroadBand Light) system which is a type of IPL (intense pulsed light). This light is a gentle, yet highly effective treatment for brown spots, sun-damage, dilated vessels, rosacea, and acne. The down-time is minimal (most resume activities/work the next day), and patients notice improvement after the first treatment. To achieve significant results, we recommend 3-5 treatments once every month. It is effective on the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. Many maintain their results with additional “touch-ups” every 6-18 months.
"I recently saw Leah Brown for sun spots on my face and was worried about the pain of laser treatment. Leah took the time to reassure me. Her nurse then carefully applied numbing medicine beforehand and then the laser therapy was smooth, quick, and PAINLESS! Better yet the spots are gone! Leah and her staff were so caring and put me at ease. Thanks again Leah for your excellent care."

We use the DEKA DOT CO2 fractional laser for treatment of sun-damage, brown spots, dilated vessels, acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. The DEKA DOT is the newest technology-- a versatile, extremely powerful laser which can be tailored for a customized treatment. It can provide anywhere from a lunchtime peel to a resurfacing and lifting procedure. The treatment itself is relatively painless, with downtime ranging from days to weeks, depending on the strength of treatment desired. Most patients need one treatment.
After having SmartXide DOT laser procedure done at Bernardo Dermatology on my face, neck and chest , my skin "looks" and "feels" like baby's skin.
Thank you to Dr. Vanessa London and her assistant, Danielle for their excellent treatment and post-operative care. They made my experience a comfortable one. I'm extremely satisfied and would highly recommend Bernardo Dermatology."

Lutronic Infini: The Infini is the latest in skin tightening technology. Using a grid of super-fine needles, the Infini delivers precise heat energy deep into the dermis, at multiple levels, and spares the top layer of skin. This allows damage to the collagen, stimulating one’s own collagen synthesis, and thus skin tightening. Further, bypassing the surface of the skin minimizes side effects and shortens down time. This is an efficient, safe, rejuvenating procedure, particularly for the jaw line and neck, and is also proving to be one of the most effective ways to treat acne scarring.
